New Boy & Fat Girl.

This is New Boy strutting for the camera.  I am not into superstitions, but there is an old superstition about roosters.  If a rooster crows at midnight, it is a sign of death.

  Game Girl below is head of the pecking order. She's the boss.  She has been known to crow when new hens have been introduced.  Hens normally do not crow. My grandfather said that a crowing hen must be killed.  Another old superstition is when a hen crows it is a sign of death.

Another old saying: "A crowing hen and a whistling woman will always come to some bad end".
